Sonic speed, homing attacks and rings in Elden Ring.
Play as Sonic from Sonic Adventure DX in Elden Ring, with Sonic movement, animations, rings, spin dash and homing attacks. Solo and offline. Requires your own Elden Ring 2.7.2.0 and Sonic Adventure DX; Melty installs the loader and builds Sonic's assets from your installed copy automatically.
*Now with the Crystal Ring to light your path: a bracelet on Sonic's right wrist casts a soft cyan glow allowing him to enter darkened dungeons.
Recurring damage-over-time ticks now spend exactly one available ring and drop one normal collectible ring nearby, without Sonic's full ring scatter, hurt animation or knockback. Run back over a drop to recover one ring with the usual pickup effects and sound. Direct enemy attacks keep their existing ring scatter and hit reactions. Zero-ring damage and death remain unchanged. Poison was verified in play; other DoT types have not had separate gameplay tests.
Homing recognizes hostile player-type NPCs and NPC invaders using Elden Ring's current hostility rules, including NPCs who become hostile after being attacked. Friendly NPCs, merchants, allies and neutral characters stay excluded. Normal enemy order, targeting range, speed, damage, animations and the 0.25-second cooldown after a connecting homing hit are preserved. Sonic's facing agrees with the native direction and map arrow. Tested against Bloody Finger Nerijus and normal enemies; this does not enable online play.
Includes the braking fix, double damage for released spin-dash hits, and damage-number/health-bar feedback for fallback and bonus damage. Charge time, speed and controls stay the same. Y interacts, right-stick click locks on without unwanted camera recentering, and D-pad directions work with the pouch. Normal Level Up, Equipment and Status menus work in both forms. F9 toggles Sonic; F10 respawns.
Known issues: Sonic may disappear at save points; some fog gates need F9 off/on. The pre-existing shutdown crash is not fixed.
