Minecraft as a live overlay on Elden Ring - fly, build, fight bosses, and let your mobs fight its enemies.
Minecraft as a live overlay on Elden Ring. While the game runs, the EldenCraft bridge composites Minecraft into Elden Ring's world: fly around the Lands Between, place and break blocks, fight bosses, and spawn Minecraft mobs that actually interact with Elden Ring - dealing damage and fighting its enemies.
You play both games at once on one PC: Minecraft handles the player, blocks and mobs; Elden Ring draws the combined scene, including Minecraft's blocks and characters, with depth occlusion. Input flows from the game window into Minecraft; F8 hands control back to Elden Ring and back. Once Elden Ring shows its world, Minecraft drops into the bridge world by itself.
What works
How it plays (one click)
Melty installs the bridge into the Elden Ring folder and a portable Minecraft (Prism + Fabric 1.21.1) beside it. Press Play: Melty sets Minecraft up once with your Minecraft sign-in, starts both games, and Minecraft opens its bridge world automatically when Elden Ring is running.
Controls
| Input | Action | |---|---| | WASD / mouse / Space / Shift | move / look / jump / crouch / fly | | E | Minecraft inventory | | F8 | switch control between Minecraft and Elden Ring | | R | Elden Ring interaction: doors, levers, items, Sites of Grace |
Requirements: your own copies of Elden Ring (2.7.0.0-2.7.1.1, offline single-player) and Minecraft: Java Edition. The dinput8 loader in the game folder stays passive unless the game was started with the bridge marker, so normal online play from Steam is untouched.
Credits: based on minecraft-crossover-bridge by justbustin (MIT) with the EldenCraft Windows port. Uses ModEngine2 (installed by Melty) and a portable Prism Launcher with Fabric to run Minecraft alongside. This release also carries the harmless, fully readable melty-canary self-test (canary.c/host.c) that runs once per session inside the game process - it demonstrates what a game-side DLL can do and logs everything to %TEMP%\melty-canary.log. Unofficial fan project, unaffiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, FromSoftware or Bandai Namco.
