A new character wakes up in the Chapel of Anticipation as the Wolf: Sekiro's garb, prosthetic, hair and scarf, with Kusabimaru in hand. From then on he fights by Sekiro's rules.
Sekiro combat in the Lands Between
- Deflect: guard the instant a blow lands. You hear Sekiro's sword clash and the enemy's posture takes the hit. Kusabimaru is held in both hands so your guard is the sword. As in Elden Ring, only your first few guard presses after a hit can deflect, so time them; mashing won't work.
- Posture: Sekiro's posture bar for the enemy you're fighting. Deflects and blows fill it. It drains slowly once the pressure stops, and it glows as it nears breaking.
- Deathblow: when the posture breaks, Sekiro's red deathblow mark appears over the enemy. Your next blow is a deathblow, with Sekiro's sound and 忍殺. Regular enemies die; bosses lose 30% of their HP.
- Unseen Aid resurrection: once per rest at a Site of Grace, a lethal blow doesn't kill you. Sekiro's 死 and dying vignette play, then the Wolf rises with half his HP. The Revive emblem shows whether it's ready.
Built from your own games
Nothing from either game is in the download. On first launch, setup reads your Sekiro (the Wolf's models and textures, Kusabimaru, the HUD art and the sounds) and builds the mod from it. Elden Ring's own files are never changed. The Wolf's characters live in their own save, so your existing characters stay untouched.
Good to know
- Needs Elden Ring 2.7.1.x and Sekiro. Solo and offline: Melty starts the game through ModEngine2 with Easy Anti-Cheat off.
- Choose New Game; every class starts as the Wolf. On a brand-new save, Elden Ring first shows Bandai Namco's privacy notice; answer it yourself.
- The resurrection uses Sekiro's art but not its chime: Sekiro plays that sound from code, not from a file the mod could read.
