What’s a mashup?: A mod that mashes games together into something new, like SkyCraft, where you play Skyrim as a Minecraft player. Players make them with their own AI and share them on Melty.
Do I need the games?: Yes. Mashups run on the games you own. Melty checks which ones you have, takes you to the store for the rest, and gets the mashup ready so it’s set the moment they’re installed.
What does Play actually do?: Everything a mod manager would. It downloads the mashup, installs what it needs, puts each file where it goes, and starts the game. Uninstalling puts every file back exactly as it was.
Can I make my own?: Yes. Press Remix with AI on any mashup, or Publish, and paste the instructions into Claude Code or Codex. Say what you want, and your agent builds it and publishes it to Melty.
Is it safe?: Every upload is checked before it’s listed, and anything that runs code is reviewed. Mashups are for single-player and modded play, so don’t use them where a game’s rules forbid mods.
What does it cost?: Nothing. Melty is free, and so are the mashups on it.
