Play solo or with up to four crew members. Four starter shovels give everyone a fighting chance: three hits defeat an infected. The first wave becomes eligible 45 seconds after landing, followed by four infected every 90 seconds, with eight alive at most. They chase and claw nearby crew; closed ship doors protect those aboard. Keep the usual moons, scrap, quota and extraction, with a horde counter and a separate mashup save.
Every player needs Lethal Company and Left 4 Dead 2 installed, plus this same mashup. Left 4 Dead 2 does not need to run. Melty installs the loader and mod; no separate server package is needed.

Version 0.1.1 passed two three-minute Melty packaged-install runs: content loading, horde spawn, native shovel combat and defeat, scrap collection and extraction. Both recordings reviewed. Two native local clients also joined and received matching horde identities and health. Internet joining through Steam has not yet been tested with a second account.
This first version has one common-infected type, with no special infected, new firearms, custom moons or Versus mode. Tested with Lethal Company Steam build 22825947 and Left 4 Dead 2 build 23990068; other versions are untested.
