Bonk 4 Dead

Megabonk's roguelike leveling, inside Left 4 Dead 2. Fight through a campaign with your three survivor bots and turn the whole team into a squad of tome-stacking monsters.

Features

• Megabonk tome cards. Every time you level up, the game freezes and three tome cards pop up. Each one shows the tome, what it does and how many you already have.
• Real Megabonk tomes. Damage, Precision, HP, Regen, Agility, Armor, Quantity, Bloody and XP Tome. Their names are read from your own Megabonk install when you press Play.
• Bots that level up with you. Ellis, Coach and the rest earn XP from kills and teamwork and pick up tomes that match how they play. Every level-up is announced in chat, and a floating "Lv" tag sits over each bot.
• Your run at a glance. A panel at the top of the screen shows your level, XP to the next level and every tome you've taken.
• Campaign-long runs. Levels and tomes carry from chapter to chapter. A full team wipe or the finale ends the run.

Controls

• A / D: move between tome cards
• E or left click: take the selected tome
• R: pass on this level's tomes
• Type !tomes in chat: show or hide your level and tome panel

Press Play to start Dead Center in the Bonk 4 Dead mode with your bots. For another campaign, start it in the Bonk 4 Dead mode from the Mutations menu. Single player.

Tip

Stack Bloody Tomes and grab an axe. Every melee kill heals you, so you can wade into a horde and come out healthier than you went in. Your bots learn too: whoever keeps reviving and healing drifts toward HP and Regen, turning into the squad's medic.

Good to know

The card-pick freeze uses the game's own stop commands, so Bonk 4 Dead runs with cheats on and Steam achievements are off while you play it. Without Megabonk installed the tomes still work and show their effects, and the game tells you Megabonk wasn't found.
