Left 4 Dead 2, ported into Minecraft. Play a normal survival or creative world on a random seed, build what you like by day, and survive the night: when the sun goes down the AI Director sends the infected after you. You get wandering commons, screaming hordes, the special infected and, now and then, a Tank or a Witch.
The real thing, from your own copy
The infected, the guns and your survivor's hands are Left 4 Dead 2's own models, textures and animations, plus its sounds and Director music, read from your installed Left 4 Dead 2 while you play:
- Commons come in L4D2's outfits: road crew, CEDA, riot cops, clowns, mud men and more. They shamble, run, claw, stagger when shoved and die with L4D2's death animations.
- The specials and bosses use their own models and moves: the Hunter crouches and pounces, the Smoker reels you in, the Charger charges and pounds, the Jockey rides, the Spitter spits, the Tank throws and the Witch sits crying.
- First person shows the L4D2 viewmodels with a survivor's arms. Every gun deploys, fires, reloads and shoves with its L4D2 animation, and shotguns load shell by shell.
Plays like L4D2
- Left mouse fires (hold for full auto) and throws pipe bombs, molotovs and bile. Right mouse shoves, which knocks infected back and gets specials off your friends. R reloads.
- The L4D2 crosshair opens up while you move, jump or hold the trigger. Recoil kicks the view up and settles back.
- Ammo is real. Every reload takes rounds from the Ammo in your inventory, in creative too; only the pistols are infinite.
- 14 guns, 8 melee weapons, pipe bombs, molotovs, bile jars, first aid kits, pain pills, adrenaline and defibrillators. Everything is craftable from vanilla items and also in the Left 4 Craft creative tab.
- Co-op for up to 4. When a friend is near, you go down instead of dying, and they help you up. Melty connects friends to your world over the internet, with no port forwarding.
Nothing from Valve is in this download, which is why you need both games.
