Half-Life 2's arsenal, out on the water.
Press H and your hands become Gordon's: the crowbar, 9mm pistol, .357 Magnum, SMG, shotgun and the Gravity Gun, each with its real Half-Life 2 viewmodel, animations and sounds.
Weapons
- 1–6 pick a weapon while the arsenal is out, and the mouse wheel cycles them.
- Left click fires. R reloads. The shotgun loads shell by shell and pumps after each shot, and right click fires both barrels. The Magnum reload plays its full cylinder sounds.
- Bullets go through How to Fish's own projectile system, so they hit fish, items and creatures the way the game's own guns do.
- The crowbar swings at whatever is in front of you.
Gravity Gun
- Right click grabs a loose item or a caught fish and holds it in front of you. Hold right click on something further away to pull it in.
- Left click launches what you're holding, or punts a loose item nearby.
Your fishing still works
Press H again, or the game's empty-hands key, to put the weapons away. Your rod, bait swapping, hotbar and item pickup all work exactly as before. Picking up an item puts the weapon away automatically.
What you need
- How to Fish
- Half-Life 2 installed. The models, textures and sounds are read from your own copy at runtime, and nothing from Half-Life 2 is included.
Melty sets everything up, including telling the mod where your Half-Life 2 is. Single player for now.
