Half-Life 2 x Clone Drone in the Danger Zone. The robot you control is gone. You are Gordon Freeman, in first person, in every single-player mode of Clone Drone.
What you get
- First person, with the HEV suit HUD (HEALTH, SUIT, AMMO) drawn in Half-Life 2's own HUD font.
- Six Half-Life 2 weapons with their own view models, hands, animations and sounds, read from
your Half-Life 2 while you play: crowbar, 9mm pistol, SMG (with alt-fire grenades), shotgun,
gravity gun and .357 Magnum.
- You spawn with the crowbar and unlock the rest on Clone Drone's own upgrade screen: pistol, then
SMG, then shotgun, then gravity gun, with the Magnum as a side branch off the pistol. Ammo Resupply
and SMG Grenades are upgrades you can buy again and again. Upgrades for the robot's own weapons
are not offered.
- Bullets bore a channel through robots; the crowbar cuts them voxel by voxel; armor stops a bullet
and shatters. The gravity gun grabs severed limbs, dropped weapons and arena sawblades and fires
them back.
- Half-Life health instead of a robot body: 100 health, each enemy weapon does set damage (arrows
25 with x1.5 headshots, swords 50, spears 25 with x2 headshots, hammers 75), and you die at 0.
- Ammo is scarce. Half-Life 2 supply crates turn up now and then, break into voxels and drop a box
of ammo: pistol most often, Magnum least.
- Source-style movement: sprint, duck, crouch-jump, air-strafing, and jumps keep your speed.
- Gordon replaces your robot in every single-player mode (Story, Endless, Challenges, Twitch mode,
workshop levels), through the whole story: in chapter 3 the companion robot is hidden and there
is no mind transfer; in chapter 4, where you become the robot that killed you, the body decides
your gun (sword = crowbar, spear = pistol, hammer = shotgun, bow = Magnum); in chapter 5 his
weapons break the mind-space cube robots too.
- Fire and alt-fire only work Gordon's weapons: there is no robot kick or robot special ability.
- This release has no multiplayer: it is a solo mashup and switches itself off in Clone Drone's online modes.

You need
- Clone Drone in the Danger Zone on Steam (the game you play).
- Half-Life 2 on Steam, installed. Nothing from it is copied or shipped: the mod opens its files where they are.
Good to know
- It is a BepInEx 5 plugin (bundled, unmodified). Nothing in Clone Drone's own files is changed, and uninstalling removes it.
- Your weapon unlocks are kept in the mod's own file, not in Clone Drone's save.
MIT licensed, remixing welcome. Half-Life 2 is Valve's and Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is Doborog Games'; neither game's files are included. Built with AI assistance.
