Sonic Ring

Play Elden Ring as Sonic the Hedgehog — Sonic Adventure DX's Sonic, with his own model, textures, animations, sound effects and voice, read from your own copy of Sonic Adventure DX the first time you play. Nothing from either game is in the download.

What you get

• Sonic's speed: build up to about 22 m/s across Limgrave and beyond.
• Jump, then jump again near an enemy for the homing attack (no enemy in range: an air dash).
• Spin dash: hold to charge, let go to roll through enemies.
• Rings are your life: defeated enemies drop rings; a hit scatters yours (grab them back quick); a hit with no rings fells you. Resting at a grace tops you up to 20, a felled boss gives 50.
• Sonic Adventure's HUD digits and Sonic's lives icon, from your copy.
• Doors, graces, ladders, Torrent and cutscenes work as usual.

Needs Elden Ring 2.7.1 and Sonic Adventure DX (Steam). Single player, offline: Mod Engine 2 starts Elden Ring with Easy Anti-Cheat off. Sonic Ring keeps its own save (ER0000.sr2), started as a copy of your save the first time; your normal save is never written.

Controls — Pad: A jump / homing attack, X or B spin dash, right stick camera, RB Torrent's whistle. Keyboard: WASD, Space jump, Left Shift spin dash, E interact.

Built on ER Mario by Delta (MIT): its Elden Ring collision, combat and character-posing engine. Sonic is SEGA's, Elden Ring is FromSoftware's; this is a free fan mod.
