Ring Runner in the Lands Between brings Sonic Adventure 2 to Elden Ring. Run fast, spin dash through soldiers, homing-attack bosses, collect rings and Chaos Emeralds, and go Super, all to SA2's soundtrack.
Moves
Run 1.6× faster, always on. Hold Shift to boost.
Spin dash: dodge while running, or hold Ctrl to rev up (Sonic 3 & Knuckles style) and release to blast off up to 12 m. Spin dashes plough through every enemy in the way and knock them flying.
Homing attack: jump, then jump again in mid-air. A green reticle shows your target. With nothing in range you get SA2's jump dash.
Press K to turn into Sonic: SA2's own Sonic model and animations (stand, walk, run, fall, spin ball) take your Tarnished's place. Press K again to turn back. (Controller: stand still and hold Dodge for 1 s.)
Rings, Sonic rules
Enemies burst into spinning 3D rings when they die.
Rings are your shield: a hit with rings costs up to 10 rings (they bounce away, grab some back) and no health. A hit with no rings is fatal. Poison and rot ticks don't count. You can turn this off in the ini.
Chaos Emeralds and Super form
Every different boss you beat drops a Chaos Emerald. Open the pause menu for hints on bosses to hunt near you.
With all 7 emeralds and 50 rings, hold Jump for 1 second to go Super Sonic: gold, faster, invincible, and double damage, while your rings drain.
Music and sound
SA2's soundtrack, area by area: City Escape in Limgrave, Metal Harbor, Radical Highway, Sky Rail, Final Chase and more. Bosses get SA2's boss and Sonic vs. Shadow themes. Tip: set Elden Ring's Music volume to 0 to hear only SA2.
