Sonic Liberty

Play GTA IV's Liberty City as Sonic.

Sonic Liberty puts the real Sonic from your own copy of Sonic Adventure 2 into Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition. Nothing from either game is included in the download: everything Sonic is read straight from your SA2 install while GTA IV runs.

From Sonic Adventure 2

• Sonic's real 3D model, textures and run / spin-ball animations, drawn in place of Niko whenever you're on foot. Walls and buildings hide him just like anything else in the city
• City Escape plays while you're on foot, then fades out when you get in a car so the radio takes over. Press F9 to turn the music off or on (it remembers your choice)
• The SA2 ring pickup sound, plus the ring-scatter sound when you get hurt
• SA2's gold ring texture on the rings and the ring counter

Moves

• Sprint as usual and Sonic takes off at super speed (let go of the movement keys to stop)
• Jump, then press jump or sprint again in the air for a homing attack that locks onto the nearest car or pedestrian and sends it flying
• Hold Z, then release for a spin dash that flattens people and shoves cars out of the way
• Lines of rings appear along nearby roads. Get hurt and your rings scatter, so grab them back!

Needs: GTA IV: The Complete Edition and Sonic Adventure 2 (both on Steam). Melty sets up the ASI loader and points the mod at your SA2 folder, so it's one click to play. Solo.

Credits: Ultimate ASI Loader by ThirteenAG (installed by Melty). Sonic Adventure 2 © SEGA and Grand Theft Auto IV © Rockstar Games: both are read from the player's own installs.
