The Lands Between through V's eyes. Tarnished 2077 turns Elden Ring into a first-person shooter and puts Night City's hardware in your hands. Everything Cyberpunk in it (the weapon models, V's arms, the animations, the gunshots, the scanner sounds, the HUD typeface) is read from your own Cyberpunk 2077 install the first time you press Play. No game files from either game are shipped or downloaded.
What you get
- First person, with V's arms. Press F4 at any time for third person, which is Elden Ring exactly as it is: its camera, its HUD, its keys, its flasks.
- Four iconic weapons, unlocked from the first second
- Malorian Arms 3516: Johnny Silverhand's hand cannon.
- Skippy: the smart pistol. Its rounds curve in flight to the enemy nearest your crosshair, or the one you are locked on to.
- Overwatch: Panam's sniper rifle, with a working scope. Every round goes off like a fire pot: a real blast that burns and throws whatever stands near the impact.
- Mantis Blades: a five-attack combo on tap, a charged leap into a heavy attack on hold, and a guard on right mouse.
- Cyberpunk's own animations. Draw, aim, fire, reload, sprint and jump play with the first-person animations and sounds from your Cyberpunk install.
- Four quickhacks on a scanner. Hold Tab to scan, then upload Overheat (fire), Short Circuit (lightning, staggers), Cyberpsychosis (turns the target on its friends) or System Reset (puts it to sleep). They cost RAM, which refills over time.
- A Cyberpunk HUD. Health, stamina and RAM top left, weapon and ammunition bottom left, the health of the enemy you last hit under Elden Ring's compass. When you are hit, a red arc points at the attacker, behind you included.
- V's moves. Heal with a MaxDoc inhaler (X), jump and double jump (Space), sprint (Left Shift).
- Rounds go where you aim. Shots leave the muzzle for what the crosshair is on, with a trail in each weapon's colour, a muzzle flash and sparks where they land.
- Real hits. Shots, slashes and hacks are Elden Ring attacks: enemies flinch, guard, bleed, die and drop runes as usual.
- Grows with you. Weapon damage rises 3.5% with every character level, and you gain one RAM every 8 levels. Ammo is limited and trickles back, blades cost stamina, bosses resist the status hacks.
- Elden Ring when it matters. For cutscenes, conversations, shops, menus, loading screens and death the game is Elden Ring's own again, and first person comes back by itself when play resumes.
- Your normal save is safe. The mashup plays on its own save file, copied once from your normal one, which is never written.

Good to know
- Solo and offline. Melty starts Elden Ring through ModEngine2 with Easy Anti-Cheat off.
- Needs Elden Ring 1.16.1 or 1.17.1 (executable 2.7.1.0 or 2.7.1.1) and Cyberpunk 2077 installed. The base game is enough; Phantom Liberty is not used.
- The first Play takes a little longer while your Cyberpunk content is read.
- Keyboard and mouse only for the mashup's weapons in this version. A controller still drives Elden Ring.
- The scanner names targets by Elden Ring's internal character id.
