Sims Night City

The Sims 4 moves into Cyberpunk 2077. You play Cyberpunk as usual, first person, gigs and gunfights and all, but V is now a Sim.

Both games are really in it. Cyberpunk 2077 is the game you play. Everything Sims is read from your own Sims 4 install while you play: the plumbob, the need and moodlet icons, their names and descriptions in your language, the Simlish voice lines and jingles, and the rules themselves (how fast each need drops, when a moodlet starts, what a Flirt is worth, what "Good Friends" or "Soulmates" means).

What you get

• Six needs — Hunger, Energy, Bladder, Hygiene, Fun and Social, dropping at The Sims 4's own rates. Eat, sleep in a bed, shower or grab a coffee in Night City and the matching need fills. Fights and driving are Fun.
• Survival pressure — ignore a need and it bites: starving drains your health, exhaustion makes V pass out (and get robbed outside safe zones), a full bladder ends in "Peed Self". Rent comes due every game day, so gigs pay for food and bills.
• Moodlets and mood — the real Sims 4 moodlets ("Ravenous", "Has to Pee", "First Kiss!"), and a plumbob that changes colour with V's mood.
• Anyone in Night City — look at any adult, press F2 and pick a Sims social: Friendly Introduction, Get to Know, Tell Joke, Brighten Day, Deep Conversation, Flirt, First Kiss, Kiss, WooHoo, Try for Baby, Insult, Yell At. You both answer in Simlish, and friendship and romance climb The Sims 4's own relationship levels.
• Family — a baby can follow Try for Baby a few game days later. F3 opens your own Sim: Nap, Use Toilet, Family Tree, Show / Hide Needs.

Good to know

• Solo play.
• You need Cyberpunk 2077 and The Sims 4 installed (the free base game is enough). The Sims 4 is never started; its files are only read. Nothing from either game ships with the mod.
• Keep Cyberpunk in Windowed Borderless (the default) so the Sims panels can sit on top of the game.
• Needs follow the game clock, so they stand still in story scenes where Cyberpunk freezes time.
• One Sim life is shared by all your Cyberpunk saves in this first version.
