Play all of Hollow Knight as Kris, taken from Deltarune Chapter 5's side-scrolling sections, with Deltarune's music and Kris's HP box.

Kris's look, moves, sounds, HUD and music all come straight from your own copy of Deltarune each time you play. Nothing from either game ships with the mod.

What Kris brings to Hallownest

His movement, ported from Chapter 5's code: he speeds up into a run, skids when he turns, and crouches. His variable-height jump keeps his own gravity, and a full jump reaches exactly as high as the Knight's, so every ledge is still in reach.
His sword: a three-hit ground combo (hold attack, or keep pressing), his spinning air slash, a rising up-swing, and a down-spin that pogoes off enemies and spikes.
His SOUL: it appears on a red tether whenever enemies are close. Once you have Monarch Wings, jumping in mid-air becomes Kris's SOUL hover: he freezes in the air and you steer him with his SOUL. You get up to five hovers per jump, with a meter that refills when you land.
His HP box: Chapter 5's party box replaces the masks. It shows Kris's face (which changes when he attacks, heals or hovers), his name, and his HP numbers and bar in Deltarune's own font. One mask is 18 HP, so you start at 90 HP like Kris does.
Deltarune's soundtrack: every Hollow Knight area and boss gets its own Deltarune track. Field of Hopes and Dreams plays in the Crossroads, Scarlet Forest in Greenpath and Acid Tunnel of Love in the Waterways. Hornet fights to Vs. Susie, Grimm to The World Revolving, and the Hollow Knight to the Roaring Knight's theme.
His other touches: a dash-run with afterimages, bonking off walls in a spinning ball, his hurt and landing frames, and his swing, jump and hurt sounds.
Hollow Knight's abilities still work: dash, wall-cling, spells, Focus, Crystal Heart and Nail Arts, all performed by Kris, so the whole game can still be finished.
