DeltaRogue (Chapter 1 + 2)

A solo boss-rush roguelite inside your own copy of DELTARUNE, now with Chapter 2.

Heads up: DeltaRogue is still growing. I’ve tested most of it, but there are bound to be bugs (or not). More chapters are on the way to make this a full DELTARUNE boss rush.

Pick your run

Choose a run on the CHAPTERS screen:

Chapter 1: Lancer → King → Jevil Chapter 2: Berdly → Tasque Manager → Queen → GIGA Queen → Spamton NEO Chapters 1 + 2: one run across both chapters; the game switches chapters for you Weird Route: Chapter 2’s darker path: Berdly → Berdly (serious) → Tasque Manager → Spamton NEO at the fountain (on its own, or after Chapter 1) Custom: build your own timeline with any bosses, in any order, normal and weird mixed

Chapter 2 bosses are fought in their real rooms, with the game’s own cutscenes. Press Backspace to skip ahead after a won fight. Spare them or fight them; pacifist routes work like in the base game. GIGA Queen gives you one retry.

Pick your party

Kris leads, plus two of:

Susie Ralsei Noelle, unlocked by clearing Chapter 2 Berdly, unlocked by clearing the Weird Route

Noelle and Berdly fight in Chapter 1 too. If a story fight is built around a party you didn’t bring, it becomes a plain boss battle, and a CAUTION screen tells you before the run starts. You can change the party mid-run from the hub menu.

New party members Noelle: Heal Prayer, Sleep Mist, IceShock, and SnowGrave, which is devastating but leaves her too worn out to use MAGIC on her next turn. Berdly: Smart Word (party MAG up), Genius (grows with every cast) and Zephyr Storm, plus Spear Blast and Serious Mode from his skill tree. Every win D$ to spend, and a Skill Drop: choose 1 of 3 random skills from a pool of 23 (Common, Rare and Legendary). Examples: Critical Eye, Thorns, Steady Guard, Glass Cannon, Phoenix Feather. +1 permanent skill point for the Skill Tree. Between fights

Walk the hub with your party. The SHOPS sell healing items, gear and costumes from both chapters. Boss drops like Devilsknife, Jevilstail, PuppetScarf and Dealmaker open up once you beat their boss in that run. Chapter 2 also has a GIGA Queen practice machine. When you’re ready, step onto the SOUL to face the next boss.

Skill Tree

A constellation tree for each character, each ending in an ultimate:

Kris, Determination: survive a downing hit. Plus the new Perfect Form: perfect FIGHT presses hit harder. Susie, Rampage: “ONE MORE FOR YOU!” and a second Red Buster. Ralsei, Dual Heal. Noelle, Frozen Heart: a downing hit freezes the target in ice at 1 HP instead. Berdly, Spear Blast: a storm of spears at one foe.

A shared SKILLS tab has four categories: Skill Drops, Economy, Progression and Battle. It ends in the Second Chance ultimate. You can respec for free.

Costumes

Spend skill points on outfits and wear them around the hub:

Anything from Chapter 2 is read from your own game files.

Difficulty

Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare, or Custom modifiers. Harder settings earn more skill points per boss. Tester mode gives you a dummy that grants any skill, and never changes your real skill tree.

Also Runs are saved between fights, even across chapters. Losing shows a proper GAME OVER. Volume control. F9 for in-game screenshots. Q opens the hub menu (Party, End Run and more). Requirements

DELTARUNE 1.0.0.2 (Steam, Windows) with Chapters 1 and 2 installed. DeltaRogue builds patched copies of both chapters in its own folder. Your install and your normal saves are never touched, and no game files are included.

Oh and if you are finding the SP grind daunting, you can cheese it, just gotta find out how first like I did! :)
