Rivals of Rain

Marvel Rivals heroes become playable survivors in Risk of Rain 2.

Five new survivors: Spider-Man, Jeff the Land Shark, Ultron, Blade and Magik, each with a passive and four abilities rebuilt to play like Marvel Rivals (Spider-Power, Web-Swing, Encephalo-Ray, Hunter's Shotgun, Stepping Discs and more).

• Their real Marvel Rivals looks and moves: every hero wears their Marvel Rivals model and moves with their own Marvel Rivals animations for idle, running, basic attacks and every ability and ultimate. That includes Spider-Man's swing and Spectacular Spin, Jeff's dive and swallow, Ultron's Rage, Blade's parry and Thousand-Fold Slash, and Magik's portals and Darkchild.
• Props in hand: Blade holds his sword and pulls out his shotgun to fire; Magik wields her Soulsword. Sizes are closer to Marvel Rivals, with a small Jeff and a taller Magik.
• Web-Swing that really swings: the web sticks where you aim and you swing on it while you hold the key, then fly off with your momentum when you let go, like Loader's Grapple Fist. Spider-Man takes no fall damage.
• Ultron always flies: he moves where you look, rises while you hold Jump and hovers in place when you stop.
• Ultimates: a Marvel Rivals-style ultimate meter charges as you deal damage. Press F to unleash Spectacular Spin, It's Jeff!, Rage of Ultron, Thousand-Fold Slash or Darkchild.
• Voices and sounds: real Marvel Rivals voice lines with subtitles, ability sounds, icons and portraits.

Play solo or with up to 4 friends in Risk of Rain 2's own online co-op. Join through the game: the host opens Multiplayer, invites Steam friends with the + button, and picks Start Private Game once everyone is in. Friends accept the Steam invite. Everyone playing needs this mashup from Melty.

Needs Risk of Rain 2 and Marvel Rivals installed. Melty installs BepInEx and, the first time you play, reads the Marvel Rivals content from your own copy of the game. Nothing from Marvel Rivals is shipped, and Marvel Rivals is never started or changed.

Settings (ultimate key, voice and sound volume, subtitles) are in BepInEx/config/gg.melty.rivalsofrain.cfg.
