Your own Oblivion hero, every spell and power, in every Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, with Cyrodiil's undead as the infected.
Your Oblivion Remastered character walks into every Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, and Cyrodiil's dead walk with them.
Pick any campaign. Play opens Left 4 Dead 2's own menu, which now has an OBLIVION tile. Choose it, then Play (any campaign), and pick any campaign, chapter and difficulty: Dead Center to The Last Stand, your addon campaigns, or the mashup's own "The Fall of Cyrodiil". The other tiles stay ordinary Left 4 Dead 2.
Your hero, from your save. Every Play reads your newest Oblivion save (Steam or Game Pass): name, level, attributes, skills, spells, powers and abilities. Endurance and level raise your health, Speed your run, Intelligence your magicka, Willpower how fast it comes back.
The spell hand. Magic is your side weapon: a glowing Welkynd stone in your hand. Attack casts the selected spell, reload changes spell, and one button brings it back after you swap it for a pistol or blade.
Real Oblivion magic. All 145 Oblivion magic effects work. Fire, frost and shock bolts and balls, absorb health, healing yourself and friends, shields, Turn Undead, Paralyze, Detect Life, Telekinesis, invisibility, bound weapons, and summoned skeletons, zombies, liches and wraiths. Spell cost and power follow your school skill, and casting raises it.
Oblivion's undead are the infected, on every map. Zombies, headless zombies and skeletons make up the horde. The specials are an undead goblin Hunter, troll Boomer, lich Smoker, spriggan Spitter, scamp Jockey, minotaur Charger, ogre Tank and a gloom wraith Witch, with Oblivion's bodies, textures and sounds taken from your own copy.
Loot from Cyrodiil, on every map. Melee spawns become Oblivion weapons (Goldbrand, Chillrend, the Mace of Molag Bal, Daedric, Glass, Ebony...) that scale with your Blade or Blunt skill. Oblivion armour and spell tomes are hidden in every chapter, with better gear further in. Armour, learned tomes and skill gains carry on from chapter to chapter.
The Fall of Cyrodiil. The mashup's own long campaign runs through a ruined Chorrol-style village, the Ayleid ruin of Vilverin, an Oblivion Gate and the Deadlands. It ends with the undead Akatosh, the real dragon from Oblivion's ending, rotting and hostile.
