Early build: MW2's guns, camos and sounds in Elden Ring, in first person. A starting point with plenty of bugs left to fix.
Early build: a starting point, not a finished mod. There are still a lot of bugs to fix. Expect rough edges in how the guns, camera and hits behave, and back up your saves before you play.
Play the Lands Between like Modern Warfare 2. The Tarnished goes first person, and every Elden Ring weapon becomes a real MW2 gun read from your own copy of MW2: its model, textures, camos and sounds.
Every weapon is a gun. Daggers, straight swords and fists become pistols (USP .45, M9, .44 Magnum, Desert Eagle). Curved swords and katanas become SMGs (MP5K, UMP45, Vector, P90). Spears and halberds become assault rifles (M4A1, AK-47, ACR, SCAR-H). Axes and hammers become shotguns (M1014, SPAS-12, Striker, AA-12). Greatswords and colossal weapons become LMGs (L86 LSW, RPD, MG4, M240). Bows, crossbows and staffs become sniper rifles (M21 EBR, WA2000, Intervention, Barrett .50cal), with MW2's scope overlay down the sights. Stronger weapons of a type get the stronger gun.
Paintjobs that mean something. Upgrading a weapon climbs MW2's camos: Woodland, Desert, Arctic, Digital, Urban, Red Tiger, Blue Tiger, Fall, then the Gold Desert Eagle's gold. Each camo hits harder. The guns are a bit overpowered.
MW2 combat:
MW2's sound and feel. Each gun fires with its own sound and reload foley. You also get the hitmarker tick, frag explosions, and TF141 callouts ("Reloading!", "Frag out!"). MW2's combat music plays in boss fights, and a TF141 spawn theme plays when you rest at a grace. The HUD has MW2's crosshair, hitmarker, ammo counter and frags.
Controls:
Single player. Elden Ring runs offline with Easy Anti-Cheat off, as Melty starts it. You need Elden Ring (2.7.1.0) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) on Steam. Nothing from either game ships with the mod.
