Risk of Deadlock

Play Risk of Rain 2 as Haze, Abrams, Seven, Infernus, Mo & Krill, Viscous or Rat King from Deadlock, with their real models, animations, guns, abilities, icons, sounds and voice lines, read from your own Deadlock install. Billy is coming soon: he waits in character select as a black silhouette.

What you get

• Seven new survivors, each with Risk of Rain 2's four skills built from their Deadlock kit, and their Deadlock ultimate as equipment (Q). Every hero starts holding their own, and anyone can find the ults in chests.
• Haze: Twin SMGs, Sleep Dagger, Smoke Bomb, Phantom Strike; Q Bullet Dance. Fixation stacks on every hit.
• Abrams: Shotgun, Siphon Life, Shoulder Charge, Haymaker; Q Seismic Impact.
• Seven: Shock Rifle, a yellow Lightning Ball that slows over enemies, Static Charge, and Storm Cloud: fly for 10 s inside a storm that shocks the 3 nearest enemies. Q Thunderhead.
• Infernus: Flame Gun, Napalm, Flame Dash, Torment Pulse; Q Concussive Combustion.
• Mo & Krill: Sand Blast, Burrow, Tag Team; Q Dust Devil.
• Viscous: goo blobs, Splatter, The Cube, Puddle Punch; puddles top up his ammo; Q Goo Ball.
• Rat King (new in 0.10.0): Sovereign's Decree spreadshot, a hopping Scrap Grenade, Royal Pestments, and Rule, Ratannia!, a banner leap; a cape, a tail and a crowd of Deadlock's rats. Q Rat Swarm.
• Each hero is balanced against a Risk of Rain 2 survivor, and levels up like one.
• Co-op for up to 4: Melty's Join button, or Risk of Rain 2's own lobby and Steam invites. Every player needs this mashup and their own Deadlock.
• If one hero can't be read from your Deadlock (after a Deadlock update), every other hero still works, and its tile says why.

Good to know

• You need Risk of Rain 2 and Deadlock installed. Nothing from either game is in this download: before the first start, Melty reads the heroes from your Deadlock folder (a few minutes, once per Deadlock update), and the setup screen says what it is reading. Then the loading screen shows each hero being built, with a timer: the game is not stuck.
