You drive in Assetto Corsa; Backseat Champions runs your race — its compounds, its engineer, its teams, its strategy.
You drive in Assetto Corsa. Backseat Champions: Rookie Edition runs your race.
Pit Wall puts a race-engineer pit wall in the sim and hands your strategy to Backseat Champions — its rules, its voice and its teams, read live out of your own installed copy of it while you drive.
Assetto Corsa is the host: Pit Wall installs as an app in its own apps/python folder and switches itself on in Assetto Corsa's python.ini. Backseat Champions is the companion: Melty hands over its folder, and Pit Wall reads the radio conversations, the compound descriptions, the panel's wording and the teams straight out of it — in whatever language your copy is set to.
Nothing from either game is shipped or altered. Every player's Pit Wall speaks from their own two copies, and the sim's physics are untouched: what Pit Wall adds is the strategy, the engineer and the pit wall around your own driving.
Single player. Needs Assetto Corsa and Backseat Champions: Rookie Edition installed.
