GTA x Assetto Corsa Fixed

Drive Los Santos with Assetto Corsa's cars and how they handle, on your steering wheel, pedals and H-shifter.

A remix of GTA x Assetto Corsa by St4liban (GPLv2), fixing the problems players hit:

• No administrator rights. The mod is not copied into the GTA V folder any more. A small launcher starts GTA V Enhanced in story mode (BattlEye off) and loads the mod into the running game, so nothing is written to Program Files and no "only administrators can change files" error.
• Works on Rockstar, Steam and Epic copies of GTA V Enhanced: the launcher passes Rockstar's Story Mode switch to the game itself, so Epic copies start too.
• No ASI loader is installed any more, so it no longer clashes with other GTA mashups.

What it does

• Every car you drive in GTA V story mode is paired with an Assetto Corsa car from your own AC install (a Sentinel Classic drives as the BMW M3 E30, a Futo as the AE86, ...). The AC car's real data drives it: engine power curve and turbo, gearbox ratios, clutch, differential, tyre grip, brakes, weight, springs and anti-roll bars, aero, and its traction control/ABS.
• AC's own engine sounds play for the car (from your AC folder).
• Steering wheel with force feedback, clutch pedal (you can stall), H-pattern shifter (missed shifts grind), paddles, handbrake.
• In-game menu (F7): spawn any of your AC cars, drive your current car as any AC car, bind controls, settings.
• AC's chase camera (F6), dash readout, indicators, lights, horn, convertible roof on wheel buttons.

First start

1. Load story mode and get into a car.
2. Press F7 > Controls > Bind everything and follow the prompts (hold the wheel straight and turn it right; press each pedal fully and release; select each gear).
3. Set Settings > Wheel rotation to the rotation set in your wheel's software.
4. Drive. F8 switches AC physics on/off, F6 cycles the camera, F leaves the car.

Story mode only. GTA Online is not supported; the game runs with BattlEye off for the session. Never take a modded game online.

Credits: mod by St4liban (GPLv2), AC car data and sounds read from your own Assetto Corsa install. Nothing from GTA or Assetto Corsa is included.
