Play Elden Ring as your Minecraft player. Minecraft runs out of sight and does the moving, fighting and building; Elden Ring is the world you play in, and it draws your Minecraft hand, hotbar and builds into its own picture.
What you get
- Walk the Lands Between in first person with Minecraft's controls: walk, sprint, jump and look around. Elden Ring's floors, walls and doors are solid for you, and its scenery hides your blocks where it should.
- Fight. Hit Elden Ring's characters with whatever you hold. You share one health bar with the Tarnished: Minecraft damage such as a fall hurts it, and when the Tarnished dies you die too and come back with it.
- Build. You start with a kit (planks, cobblestone, stone bricks, glass, torches, ladders, a crafting table and stone tools), and the characters you defeat drop more Minecraft materials. Blocks sit on Elden Ring's ground and you can climb what you build.
- Use the world. When Elden Ring shows a prompt ("E: Open", "E: Pillage remains"), E is Elden Ring's: the door swings open or the item is picked up, and you go along with the Tarnished. Esc opens Elden Ring's menu; E with no prompt opens Minecraft's inventory.
- Your save stays yours. The mashup plays on its own copy of your Elden Ring save, made the first time you play.
Single-player. Not in this version: riding Torrent, lifts, and online play (Elden Ring runs offline, with Easy Anti-Cheat off).
You need
- Elden Ring 2.7.1.0 or 2.7.1.1. ModEngine2, which starts it offline with Easy Anti-Cheat off, comes with the mashup.
- Minecraft: Java Edition. Melty sets up its own Minecraft 1.21.4 with Fabric; sign in once, the first time.
