Bring Lordran’s weapons into a cursed BLACK SOULS treasure hunt.
Bring Lordran's weapons into a cursed BLACK SOULS treasure hunt.
Lost Relics is a solo expedition inside BLACK SOULS. Choose a Longsword, Hand Axe or Spear, explore the game's forest, defeat its enemies guarding three relics, and return alive to claim a Claymore. Each relic reduces maximum health; three restorative draughts help you survive the trip home.
Dark Souls: Remastered supplies the actual weapon names, icons, physical damage and weight. The mashup reads these from each player's installation at launch. Physical damage is scaled to BLACK SOULS' battle system and weight changes agility. No game artwork or equipment database is shipped or copied between installations.
This first version uses a separate expedition on the original forest map, with its story events replaced in memory by the hunt. It starts fresh and does not load or save normal BLACK SOULS save slots. Movement and combat use the game's existing controls. Confirm searches at the gold marker; the X action (A by default) drinks a draught. After the third relic, return to the green entrance marker.
Requires BLACK SOULS 1.1 and Dark Souls: Remastered installed on the same PC. BLACK SOULS is the host; Dark Souls does not run. The included launcher receives both folders from Melty. It temporarily points BLACK SOULS at the bundled script bridge, runs the original executable and restores its engine setting on exit.
Local automatic gameplay test passed: the host ran the complete hunt, including battles, curse, healing and the return reward. Original save-file hashes were unchanged. Melty's release installation test is still pending. Not published.
Original mashup design: the creator of this Melty project. Implementation assisted by OpenAI Codex. BLACK SOULS and Dark Souls: Remastered belong to their respective creators; each player's own copies are required. Pillow supplies in-memory image decoding; psutil checks whether the host is already running. Python and PyInstaller supply the bundled launcher runtime. Our small read-only reader handles DSR's file formats. SoulsFormats by JKAnderson and contributors and Soulstruct by Grimrukh and contributors were development references; neither library is bundled.
The creator's license and remix choice for original mashup code is pending. Nothing here grants rights to either game's content.
