Play Dark Souls: Remastered with your own Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year running beside it. Solo.
**For those who wish to play, this is in very early stages and a true seamless coop is not possible as of right now due to PvZ's feature of pausing the game whenever it is not on screen. For the time being, you will have to switch between games which is understandably an inconvenience. I will update the game to make the mashup as seamless as I can get it soon.
- Every soul you earn in Dark Souls turns into sun on your PvZ lawn (about one sun per two souls).
- Spend the sun in PvZ. The plants you grow there buff you in Dark Souls:
- Sunflower: regenerates your HP.
- Peashooter: regenerates your stamina.
- Wall-nut: Last Stand. When your HP falls below 20% you are restored to 40%, then it recharges.
- PvZ's own zombie groans, scream and siren play from your copy when you earn souls, die, or get saved by a Wall-nut.
Games Needed:
- Dark Souls: Remastered and Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year on Steam
- Play Dark Souls (offline): the mod pauses itself while Dark Souls is online.
- Open an Adventure level in Plants vs. Zombies.
Setup tips:
- PvZ starts fullscreen and would cover Dark Souls. In PvZ's Menu, untick "Full Screen" once. The mod then docks the PvZ window to the top-right corner.
- Dark Souls has no Alt+Enter. Use System → PC settings → Display mode, press OK, then choose OK (not the highlighted Cancel) in the confirmation box.
- Use a controller for Dark Souls and the mouse for PvZ. PvZ pauses when it is not the active window since that is PvZ's own behaviour.
