Left 4 Shred

Left 4 Dead 2 survival on a skateboard. Hop on your board mid-fight: you're fast, but only your sidearm works. Step off to aim your main gun. Every trick you land adds seconds to your Shred Time.

skate. is really in it. The first time you press Play, Left 4 Shred reads skate.'s own trick catalog and board sounds from your installed copy of skate.:

• Real skate. trick names and scores: 360 Hard Flip, Impossible Dark Catch, BS Smith, FS Crooked, Benihana Grab, Nose Manual and about 180 more
• skate.'s ollie pops, landings, foot pushes, mount/dismount, grind and wheel-roll loops, slams and deck impacts

How to play

• Walk (Shift): hop on or off the board. W push, S brake, Jump to ollie; the board carves where you look
• In the air: Crouch for a flip trick, Shove for a grab, both together for a dark trick. Land too early and you bail
• Land on ledges, rails and edges to grind; hold Crouch at speed to manual
• Ride into infected to knock them down, or land on them to stomp. Commons drop, specials get staggered, Tanks barely notice

Timer survival. Press the survival alarm and hold out. Shred Time = time survived + trick bonus seconds (combos multiply). Medals: Bronze 4:00, Silver 7:00, Gold 10:00, with your best time saved per map.

Co-op for up to 4. Shared Shred Time. To play with friends, host from Mutations > Left 4 Shred in Left 4 Dead 2 and invite them through Steam (everyone needs Left 4 Shred and their own skate.). Solo works too, but AI survivors don't skate.

Play starts you on The Mall: Atrium. Any survival map works: run map <name> left4shred in the console or pick Left 4 Shred from the Mutations menu.

Needs Left 4 Dead 2 and skate. skate. is never started or modified: its files are only read. Nothing from either game is included in the download.
