Play a normal Hearts of Iron IV campaign. When the fighting starts, lead it yourself in a Modern Warfare 2 Team Deathmatch.
New in 0.1.8
- Fight any nation. Click a nation and press Fight them in Modern Warfare 2 on its diplomacy screen. If you're at peace, war is declared on the spot, then you strike its capital. Win and either you take the whole nation, or it surrenders and you decide its fate at the peace conference.
- Help an ally. When you join another nation's war, you can strike the capital of a nation it is fighting (picked at random if there are several). Win and you take the whole nation, or it surrenders and goes to the peace conference.
Also in the mashup
- Declare war and choose: strike the enemy capital yourself (win and you take over the whole nation) or fight the war the usual way.
- Enemies sometimes attack your border states: defend them yourself or leave it to the garrison.
- Task Force Command decisions: "Lead the Assault" on any enemy-held state next to yours.
- Firefights: you and 5 computer teammates against 6 computer enemies, on a map that matches the terrain. No timer: the first team to 15 kills wins.
- A random loadout every battle: gun, attachments, sidearm, grenades, perks and deathstreak.
- Newspapers for every battle you win or lose, plus world news when other nations go to war, surrender or get annexed.
- Warmonger or peacekeeper: the world reacts to how you play.
- 12 MW2 commanders to hire, each with a unique trait and a starting killstreak.
Single player. Needs Hearts of Iron IV and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Play a non-Ironman game. Nothing from either game is included: the mashup reads what it needs from your own copies.
