CS2 Operator in Risk of Rain 2

Play Risk of Rain 2 in first person as a Counter-Strike 2 Counter-Terrorist. Everything CS2 in this mashup comes from your own Counter-Strike 2 install: the SAS agent, the guns, their sounds, their icons and their numbers.

What you get

• A new survivor, the Operator. The CS2 SAS agent (body, gas mask, gloves), animated on Risk of Rain 2's Bandit rig. Your co-op friends see the full agent.
• First person like CS2, with CS2's own animations. You see the agent's gloves and sleeves holding the CS2 gun, moving with CS2's real first-person animations from your install: draw, idle, fire, reload, inspect (F), knife slash and grenade throw, with magazines, bolts and slides moving like in CS2. (Prefer RoR2's usual camera? Set [View] FirstPerson = false in BepInEx/config/melty.cs2operator.cfg.)
• Real CS2 guns with CS2's numbers. Damage, magazine, fire rate, reload time and recoil are read from CS2's weapon data on your PC.
  • Primary (pick in the lobby loadout): AK-47, M4A4 or P90 (full auto, CS2 magazine, CS2-style spray), the AWP (bolt action, 5 rounds, one huge piercing shot per press, with CS2's scope) or the Nova (9 pellets per pump, shells loaded one at a time).
  • Secondary (pick in the lobby loadout): Desert Eagle | Blaze, USP-S | Kill Confirmed, Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo, and new in 0.1.9 the Glock-18 | Fade, Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast and Tec-9 | Fuel Injector, each switched to like in CS2: press secondary (or 2, Q, the mouse wheel) to draw it and it fires on the primary button with CS2's magazine and reload; press again (or 1) to switch back. Each gun keeps its own ammo.
  • Utility: Knife Lunge (pick your knife: M9 Bayonet, Butterfly Knife, Karambit, Classic Knife | Fade or Bayonet | Tiger Tooth). Dash forward slashing everything in your path; pulls the same knife out.
  • Special: HE Grenade (bounces and explodes on CS2's fuse) or Molotov (a pool of fire that burns for 7 seconds).
• CS2 gloves as skins, all unlocked. Pick your gloves in the lobby loadout's Skins row: Sport Gloves | Vice, Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze, Specialist Gloves | Cloud Chaser, Specialist Gloves | Pillow Punchers, Hand Wraps | CAUTION! or the SAS agent's own. You see them on your first-person hands, and your co-op friends see them on your Operator.
• CS2 sounds and icons. Gunshots, reloads, knife and grenade sounds and CS2's inventory art, decoded from your CS2 files.
• Solo or co-op, up to 4 players through Risk of Rain 2's own Steam lobbies. Everyone needs the mashup and both games.

Controls

| Key | What it does | |---|---| | Left mouse (Primary) | Fire the gun in hand, or slash with the knife | | Right mouse (Secondary) | Switch to your pistol and back. With the AWP out: scope in, zoom further, lower it | | Shift (Utility) | Knife Lunge: dash forward slashing everything in your path | | R (Special) | Throw your HE Grenade or Molotov | | 1 / 2 / 3 | Primary / pistol / knife (press 3 again to go back) | | Mouse wheel | Back to the weapon you held before | | X | Reload early (an empty magazine reloads by itself; with the Nova, press fire to stop loading shells) | | F | Inspect your weapon | | V | Flip between first and third person (remembered) | | Q | Your equipment, as always in Risk of Rain 2 |

Change any of the mod's keys in BepInEx/config/melty.cs2operator.cfg ([Controls] and [View]). The Skills keys follow your Risk of Rain 2 controls settings.

Needs

Risk of Rain 2 and Counter-Strike 2 on the same PC. CS2 is never launched or changed; the mashup only reads its files. On first Play, Melty converts the CS2 content it needs (about 20 seconds); nothing from either game is included in the download.
