✅ Play as Isaac: in Isaac's character menu, simply pick Isaac himself – that's the potato's home. (Start a run with anyone else and it switches to Isaac for you.)
Play The Binding of Isaac as a Brotato potato.
You descend into Isaac's basement as usual – Isaac's floors, monsters and bosses. But instead of Isaac you are a potato from Brotato, and you don't shoot tears: your Brotato weapons fight on their own.
How it plays
- Pick a Brotato character and a starting weapon – 6 Brotato characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
- Start with one hand – one weapon at first, one more weapon slot after every floor boss (up to 6). Characters with an extra starting weapon keep it.
- Weapons fight on their own – from knife and spear to revolver and shotgun. You focus on dodging. Rocks block shots, so use cover.
- Collect materials – defeated monsters drop Brotato materials: your currency and your XP.
- Level-ups – choose one of four Brotato upgrades as soon as the room is clear.
- Brotato shop after every boss – buy weapons and items, reroll, combine two identical weapons into the next tier, or recycle old ones.
- Isaac meets Brotato – every item pedestal is 50/50 a Brotato crate or an Isaac item. Isaac's shop has one Brotato crate you pay for with materials.
- Isaac items power your weapons – Brotato bullets are real tears: homing, poison, multishot, even Brimstone or Technology change your shots. Familiars fight along, and active items still work.
- Challenging – monsters are tougher and get tougher every floor. Healing is scarce.
Controls
