The Binding of Brotato drops The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth's real content into a Brotato run — read live from your own installed copy of Isaac.

What you get

• Isaac's characters as playable potatoes — Isaac, Magdalene, Cain, Judas, ???, Eve, Samson, Azazel, Lazarus, Eden, The Lost, Lilith, Keeper, Apollyon, The Forgotten, Bethany, Jacob and more. Their names, portraits and starting items come from your own Isaac install.
• 164 of Isaac's collectibles in the shop and level-up pool — real names, real flavour text, and the 32x32 icons straight out of your Isaac resources. Each one moves Brotato's stats the way it moves Isaac's: "Tears up" becomes Attack Speed, "DMG up" becomes Damage, "Luck up" becomes Luck.
• Isaac's soundtrack replaces Brotato's music and moves on to the next track every wave.

How it works

Everything is read at run time from your own copy of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth — items.xml, players.xml, music.xml and stringtable.sta, plus the sprite .pngs and the music .oggs themselves. Nothing from Isaac is copied into this mod or uploaded anywhere, so every player uses their own copy.

If your Isaac still has its resources packed in .a archives, the mod runs Isaac's own ResourceExtractor.exe once on first start, then reads the extracted files.

• Brotato — the host game
• The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth — required; its files are read from your own install

Melty installs Godot Mod Loader and puts the mod where Brotato looks for it. Press Play once.
