You spawn in a normal Minecraft survival world holding Bodycam's Glock 17 and M4A1, and the whole game is seen as bodycam footage.
What you get
Two real guns from Bodycam: the Glock 17 (semi-auto, 17 rounds) and the M4A1 (full auto, 30 rounds). Their models, textures, gunshots, reload sounds and magazine sizes are read from your own copy of Bodycam while the game runs.
A chest camera: fisheye lens with dark corners, grain, sway and a recording stamp. No crosshair; the hotbar and hearts only peek in after a slot change or a hit.
Bodycam-style gun handling: the gun aims freely inside a small box before the camera turns, shots go where the gun points, recoil climbs, and reloads take as long as Bodycam's own.
Minecraft stays Minecraft: the world, mobs, building and crafting are untouched.
Controls
Left click fires, right click aims down the sights, R reloads, V turns the bodycam view on and off.
Crafting (shapeless)
Glock magazine: iron ingot + copper ingot + gunpowder.
M4A1 magazine: 2 iron ingots + copper ingot + gunpowder.
M4A1: iron block + 2 iron ingots + copper ingot + stick. Worlds started before 0.2.0 get the rifle this way.
You need
Minecraft: Java Edition (Melty sets up its own Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric; sign in once).
Bodycam installed on Steam. Without it the game says so and the guns are unavailable. Nothing of Bodycam's ships with this mod.
Good to know
Single player. There are no hands on the guns, and the reload and recoil motion are this mod's own. Damage and recoil numbers are tuned for Minecraft mobs. The rifle's view down the sights is still rough.
Uses oozextract (MIT) and vgmstream's Bink Audio decoder (ISC) to read Bodycam's files, and ships Prism Launcher (GPL-3.0) and Fabric API (Apache-2.0).
