Black Ring

Before you press Play: Black Ring needs Elden Ring patch 1.17.2 (2.7.2.0). On an older Elden Ring (2.7.1.0), update Elden Ring in Steam first: open Steam, let Elden Ring finish updating, then press Play here.

Elden Ring's world in first person, with Black Ops III's guns. Walk the Lands Between with a Locus sniper, blast bosses with the Ray Gun, throw back whole crowds with the Thundergun, and drink your flasks from a Juggernog bottle.

Nothing from either game is shipped: on first Play, Melty reads everything from your own Black Ops III (about 600 MB, about two minutes).

What's in it

• 19 Black Ops III guns with their real models, arms, animations, sounds and HUD: rifles, SMGs, shotguns, the Dingo LMG, pistols, the Locus sniper (a real scope, its bolt after every shot), the Bloodhound .357, the Ray Gun and the Thundergun. Carry three; change them at any Site of Grace.
• Upgrade every gun: Damage, Range, Fire Rate, Reload Speed and Boss Damage, plus attachments (sights, barrels, magazines, stocks and more) that you buy once and level up.
• Knife and Gravity Spikes: the knife hits and staggers every enemy. Every kill charges your ultimate, and the slam hits everything around you.
• Black Ops III movement: sprint, slide, thrust jump and mantle, working with Elden Ring's floors, lifts and ladders. Torrent in first person too.
• Smooth to play: a flask is one press (and stops a reload at once), reload anywhere, even sliding or in the air, and items on the ground are picked up on the first press.
• Your controls: rebind everything for keyboard and mouse, with aim assist. H gives you normal Elden Ring back.

You need

• Elden Ring patch 1.17.2 (2.7.2.0) on Steam: update Elden Ring in Steam first if it's older.
• Call of Duty: Black Ops III, the Steam PC copy, in any language and any Steam library. The Bloodhound needs Shadows of Evil; the Ray Gun, the perk bottle and the Thundergun need Zombies Chronicles. Anything whose part isn't installed is left out (the game tells you which), the rest works without it.
• Single player, offline (Easy Anti-Cheat off). Don't take mods online.
• Play with keyboard and mouse for now; full controller support comes in the next update.

New in 2.2.16

• The first setup works on every Black Ops III: any language (French, Italian, Dutch...), with or without the Multiplayer content or the Campaign. It checks the files before it starts, says exactly what to do if one is missing, and Try again carries on where it stopped.
• Everything new since 2.1.0: the Locus, the Bloodhound, the Thundergun, the knife, Gravity Spikes, attachments, the new menus, aim assist, Elden Ring 2.7.2.0 support, and fixes for floors, lifts, pickups, the map, flasks and reloads.
