BattleBlock Theater has taken over the basement. The Behemoth's prison theater is now inside The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Repentance+), using the real art, music, font and Narrator from your own copy of BattleBlock Theater.
What's in it
- The Prisoner: a playable BBT prisoner, with the round head, big eyes and white jumpsuit. He starts with the Frisbee.
- Gems & Yarn: BBT's spinning green gems drop from cleared rooms and enemies, and bosses burst into gems and a yarn ball. Every 10 gems earns a BBT weapon (or a soul heart). Yarn heals you and gives a soul heart.
- 8 BBT weapons as Isaac items:
- Frisbee (bouncing disks)
- Boomerang
- Fireball (burns)
- Ice Gun (slows and freezes)
- Golden Hat (luck, damage, extra gems, and you wear it)
- Grenade, Toaster and Wonderwozzle, as actives
- Cat Guard UFOs: BBT's cat guards hunt you in some rooms in their flying saucers.
- The Narrator: BBT's narrator reacts to floors, gems, yarn, hits, deaths, bosses, Golden Hats and devil deals.
- Theater moments: every floor opens with a BBT chapter card, shops play BBT's Gift Shop theme, and boss fights get BBT boss music.
How it works
You need both games. Nothing from either game is shipped. On Play, a small bridge reads BBT's art, fonts, music and narration from your installed BattleBlock Theater (about 10 seconds the first time, instant afterwards), then starts Isaac. It also switches on Isaac's "mods" option if it was off. Single player.
