Survivor Craft

Pick one of Left 4 Dead 2's eight Survivors and take them into Minecraft survival, or into L4D2's own campaigns rebuilt in blocks. Play alone or with up to 3 friends.

What you get

• Play L4D2's maps. The host picks the normal Minecraft world or any L4D2 map: Dead Center, Dark Carnival, Swamp Fever, Hard Rain, The Parish, The Last Stand and more. Press M to change later. Each map is rebuilt in blocks from your own copy of Left 4 Dead 2, at true L4D2 scale and with L4D2's textures, ladders, water and lights.
  • Campaign: fight from the safe room to the next one, then on to the next map. Finales are a stand against waves of hordes until rescue arrives.
  • Free roam: explore and survive.
  • Survival: endless hordes that grow every wave. How long can you last?
• Become your Survivor. Choose Coach, Nick, Ellis, Rochelle, Bill, Francis, Louis or Zoey from their real portraits. You're drawn as that Survivor's actual L4D2 character model: it walks, looks around, and holds guns two-handed. Each Survivor talks in their own voice lines.
• Common Infected. Every zombie is an L4D2 Common Infected, from the real models, in 16 outfits. They run hunched over, flail at you, and moan, scream and cry out with L4D2's infected sounds.
• L4D2's arsenal as real 3D weapons. Pistol, Magnum, SMG, Pump and Tactical Shotguns, M-16, AK-47 and Hunting Rifle. Damage, pellets, rate of fire, clip size, spread and recoil come from L4D2's own weapon scripts, with their real gunfire sounds.
• Melee with L4D2 swings. Machete, Katana, Fire Axe, Crowbar, Frying Pan, Baseball Bat and Chainsaw.
• Throwables, supplies and upgrades. Pipe Bomb, Molotov, Bile Bomb, Pain Pills, Adrenaline, First Aid Kits, Defibrillator, and Incendiary and Explosive ammo.
• Survivor Workbench. Craft the whole arsenal from Minecraft materials. Reload from your ammo boxes with R.
• Loot. Every mob drops cooked food and an ammo box, and zombies drop a First Aid Kit 1 time in 4.
• Adrenaline Rush. Kills fill your meter. Press V for a burst of speed, strength and haste.
• Horde Nights and the Director. The horde alarm, the horde music, and waves of infected rushing every Survivor.
• Friendly fire vote. Before anyone picks a Survivor, everyone votes friendly fire on or off.
• You keep your inventory when you die.
• Co-op for up to 4. Friends join your world straight from Melty.

Needs your own Minecraft: Java Edition and Left 4 Dead 2 (Steam). Every map, model, portrait, weapon stat and sound is read from your own Left 4 Dead 2 install while you play. Nothing from L4D2 is included in the download.
