Play Elden Ring as KH2-era Sora: the model KINGDOM HEARTS III uses in its intro, with the Kingdom Key and his real KH3 animations.
What you get
- Sora's moves: light attacks are his ground combo and finisher, heavy is his rising spin slash, plus his dodge roll, run, high jump, and KH3 animations for flasks, getting hit and his slow KH3 death fall. Snappier recovery, so he answers the next press sooner.
- NEW: KH3 combat: a three-hit air combo with finisher and air dodge, the Launcher (fully charge the heavy to lift enemies into the air), Airstep to zip to a locked-on enemy, ground combos that home in on your target, and KH3's Warp Slash for ripostes and backstabs.
- NEW: Spells on L2: Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Cure and Aero, cast with Sora's own animations and KH2 voice lines, on the ground or in the air.
- KH3 Guard and counter: block a hit, break the attacker's poise, then strike back with RevengeImpact.
- Keyblades and Double Form: the Kingdom Key, Oathkeeper and Oblivion, one per weapon slot. Wield two and Sora fights in KH3's Double Form, with KH3-style swing trails.
- NEW: KH3 HUD and menus: Sora's portrait with KH3's HP, MP and Focus gauges, KH3's command menu in place of the equipment cross, KH3's camp screen when you rest at a site of grace, and KH3 boss gauges.
- The Gummi Ship: Torrent becomes KH3's Highwind. Jump twice while riding and it flies over the map with KH3's controls, boosts with roll and speed lines, flaming engines, and "Blast Away! -Gummi Ship II-" playing.
- Moving around: KH3's glide and better ledge grabs and climbing. No fall damage.
- Kingdom Hearts look: KH2's title screen logo, KH3 save points at sites of grace, KH3 lock-on markers, the KH3 camp menu look and a wide KH3-style camera.
- Heartless and Nobodies: giant rats are Shadows, Demi-Humans are Helmed Bodies with KH3's animations, and Wandering Nobles are Dusks, all in KH3's own clean colours.
- Kingdom Hearts sound: Sora's KH2 battle shouts, the Keyblade's KH3 swing and hit sounds and KH1's lock-on sound.
- Music: "Night of Fate" in fights, and Kingdom Hearts themes across the world: Limgrave, Stormveil and Godrick, Caelid, Liurnia and Raya Lucaria, the Carian Study Hall, Laskyar Ruins, Mt. Gelmir, the Mountaintops and Snowfield, the Haligtree, and bosses like Malenia and Preceptor Miriam.
- Also: three times the runes, you keep your runes when you die, a photo mode, a pause button, 120 FPS, skipped splash screens, ultrawide support and no colour fringing. Fewer stutters in big fights.
Needs: Elden Ring 2.7.1, KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind, and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, all installed. On the first start, Melty builds Sora from your own copies of the games (nothing from them is shipped), then starts Elden Ring offline. Single player. Sora Ring uses its own save file, copied from yours the first time, so your normal save is never touched.
Every feature can be turned off or adjusted in sora_ring.ini.
