Sonic from Sonic Adventure 2 joins every faction in STAR WARS Battlefront (Classic, 2004). Pick him from the spawn screen and play a whole battle at Sonic speed against the AI.
What you get
Sonic is an extra class on every faction's spawn screen, on every map. He doesn't replace a class, and the AI never picks him.
The real SA2 Sonic. His model, textures, animations, physics, voice and sound effects are read at runtime from your own Sonic Adventure 2 install. Nothing from SA2 is in the download.
His moves from SA2:
running and jumping;
the homing attack, which you can chain across enemies;
spin dash, bounce attack, somersault and the light speed dash along ring trails;
the charged attack is the Sonic Wind from SA2 Battle's 2-player mode, a 10-second whirlwind around Sonic. It throws enemies back with light damage, and any vehicle caught in it spins out of control.
Rings are your health. Ring trails are laid out on the maps. A hit scatters your rings, and getting hit with none knocks Sonic down. After a hit he blinks and is invincible for 1.2 seconds.
Damage that fits Sonic:
Troopers and droids go down in one hit and get thrown back. Droidekas take two hits (shield, then droid).
Vehicles, turrets and destructible structures take several hits, each exploding like Battlefront's rocket launcher.
Destroyed turrets take 90 seconds to rebuild.
Allies are left alone, including the Ewoks on Endor.
Blaster bolts bounce off Sonic while he's curled up (rolling or homing), like a Jedi deflecting them.
The camera turns toward your homing attacks and follows behind Sonic as he runs.
Battlefront's music, maps, command posts and scoring all stay as they are.
