SADX Sonic in Garry's Mod

Become Sonic Adventure DX's Sonic in Garry's Mod. Press G on any map and you're Sonic: his model, textures and animations, his physics and his sounds, all read from your own copy of Sonic Adventure DX each time you press Play.

What you get

• The real SADX Sonic. His model and textures, with arms and legs joined the way SADX joins them, plus his SADX motions: stand, look around, walk, jog, run, top-speed run, jump ball, fall and brake.
• SADX physics. Acceleration, top speed, jump height and gravity come from SADX's own physics table.
• Sonic's moves:
  • Run: momentum builds up to SADX top speed.
  • Brake: skid when you turn back at speed.
  • Jump: hold the button for a higher jump.
  • Spin dash: hold crouch to charge, release to launch.
  • Roll: crouch while running.
  • Homing attack: jump again in the air near an NPC, player or prop.
  • Jump dash: happens instead when nothing is in range.
• Water, SADX style. Under water Sonic sinks and runs along the bottom a little slower, with floaty jumps. At top speed he runs across the surface.
• SADX sounds: jump, spin dash charge and release, homing attack, skid, landing and smash, plus Sonic's voice.
• Third-person camera and a speed readout.
• Solo play: this version is single player.

Play starts you on gm_construct. Sonic works on any map: pick another from the menu, then press G again.

Needs

Garry's Mod and Sonic Adventure DX (PC). Both the Steam version and installs converted with SA Mod Manager work. Nothing from Sonic Adventure DX is included in this download. Each time you press Play, a small helper reads Sonic from your installed copy.
