Rust Raid Forest

Build a real Rust base in The Forest and hold it against night raids by cannibals carrying Rust explosives.

Everything Rust here comes from your own Rust install while you play: its foundations, walls, doorways and floors in all five grades (twig, wood, stone, sheet metal, armored), its doors, Code Lock and Tool Cupboard, C4, Satchel Charges, Beancan Grenades, Rockets, the Assault Rifle, Revolver, Semi-Auto Pistol and Rocket Launcher, item icons, crafting recipes, sounds and building damage rules. Rust itself is never started or changed.

What you do

• Press K for the Rust sandbox menu: take any resource or item, or craft with Rust's real recipes.
• Place pieces with the Building Plan, upgrade them with the Hammer, hang a door and set a 4-digit Code Lock, put down your Tool Cupboard.
• Raid like Rust: 2 C4 or 4 rockets open a stone wall, satchels can dud (press E to relight).
• Hold Rust's own first-person guns: draw animation, sway and recoil; right mouse aims down Rust's iron sights with Rust's zoom. Shots, rocket launches and explosions are Rust's own sounds.
• Everything Rust is scaled to The Forest's bigger world, so you walk through doorways and around inside your Rust base like in Rust.
• At night a squad of The Forest's cannibals comes for your cupboard: sappers stick satchels and C4 on your weakest wall or door, rocketeers fire Rust rockets. Defend with Rust guns. F8 calls a raid right away.
• Your Rust base is saved with your Forest save.

Controls: K menu, 5-0 Rust belt, LMB use, RMB next piece/grade or aim, R rotate/reload, E doors and code lock.
