Realm of the Mad God Exalt invades The Binding of Isaac. You play Isaac: Repentance+, and Realm's classes, monsters, bosses, projectiles, sounds and music come from your own Realm install.
What you get
- The Nexus. Every new run starts in a Nexus room with Realm's stone floor and Realm's Sorc theme. Walk onto the Wizard, Warrior or Archer and you become that class, with its Realm sprite.
- Realm weapons. Every shot is your class's starting Realm weapon: twin waving Grey Missiles from the Energy Staff, a short, heavy Blade from the Short Sword, or the Shortbow's big arrow plus two small ones. Damage, fire rate, range, speed and hearts come from the class's Realm stats.
- Realm abilities on the space bar. Fire Spray Spell (a ring of Fire Bolts), Combat Helm (berserk) or Magic Quiver (piercing arrows that paralyze).
- The invasion. About half the monsters in the Basement, Caves and Depths are Realm monsters firing their real Realm projectiles: Pirates, Snakes and Hobbit Archers in the Basement; Cave Pirates, Pirate Lieutenants and Dwarf Mages in the Caves; White Demons, Flying Brains and Medusas in the Depths.
- Realm bosses. Stheno the Snake Queen takes the Basement boss rooms, Dreadstump the Pirate King the Caves and Oryx the Mad God the first Depths floor, each with Realm music, their own projectile patterns and summoned minions. Mom still waits on the second Depths floor.
Single player.
You need The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with Repentance+ and Realm of the Mad God Exalt (free on Steam; open it once so it downloads the game). Nothing from either game is included: before Isaac starts, Melty runs the mashup's Realm reader on your own copy.
