A criminal career for Cyberpunk 2077, played the way GTA plays. Night City, the story, the combat, cyberware and hacking stay exactly as they are. On top of them sits one connected crime sandbox: steal a car, shake the cops, sell it or keep it, rob a shop or a corpo van, cross the gangs, buy property, climb the ranks.
What you get
- Street rep and 7 ranks: every crime earns notoriety, from Nobody to Kingpin. Your rank shows on the HUD and unlocks better chop shops and properties.
- Car theft that matters: jack any ride. If an NCPD officer sees it, you get a star.
- 4 chop shops (car icons on the map): lose the cops, step out and hold . to sell. The price depends on the maker, bike or car, and how damaged it is. The crew rolls it away.
- Keep what you steal: buy a garage, bring a stolen ride and hold . to store it. It joins V's own vehicle list.
- GTA-style police: holster up and get caught at 1-2 stars and you're BUSTED (a fine, then released down the road). Lose the cops for an escape bonus, or lay low in an owned safehouse until the stars blink out.
- Stick-ups: aim a drawn weapon at a shopkeeper (food stalls, bars, clothes, gun shops and more) and they empty the register. Cash plus stars, once per game day per shop.
- 8 properties (apartment icons): crash pads, safehouses, garages, an arcade, a warehouse, a club and a penthouse. Businesses pay income every in-game day.
- Gang turf: put down enough Tyger Claws, Maelstrom, Valentinos, 6th Street, Animals, Voodoo Boys, Scavengers or Wraiths and that gang sends a hit squad after you. Wipe it out for a bounty.
- Corporate shipments: guarded Arasaka, Kang Tao and Militech vans park around the city (target icon on the map). Crack one for a big score, then outrun the heat.
Controls: hold . (period) for the action shown at the bottom of the screen. Press , (comma) for your rank, stats and empire.
Single player. Your rep, properties and kept cars are saved in your save game.
Coming next: a crew you can call for backup, vehicle upgrades, street races and more random street events.
