Isaac Invasion

The Binding of Isaac takes over the graveyard.

Isaac Invasion brings The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth into Aliens vs. Ghosts. It reads everything straight from your own Isaac install while you play: the enemies, items, tears, fonts and sounds. Then it rebuilds them as 3D pixel models.

What you get

• Isaac's enemies. Every ghost and alien becomes an animated 3D Isaac enemy.
  • Ghosts mostly become Isaac's own ghosts (Lil Haunt, The Haunt, Wizoob).
  • The rest become Gapers, Frowning Gapers, Horfs, Clotties, Pooters, Attack Flies, Globins and Hoppers.
  • Bosses become Monstro.
  • They flash red when hit and burst in Isaac's blood splash.
• A treasure room every match. Three Isaac item pedestals appear, with the altar and the spinning item in 3D. Take one and the others vanish.
• Pedestal drops. Now and then a kill drops an Isaac item. Grab it before it fades (90 s).
• 27 Isaac items with Isaac-style effects. For example:
  • The Sad Onion and Number One: tears up, plus more ammo.
  • Polyphemus and Brimstone: huge damage.
  • Technology: piercing.
  • Lucky Foot and Tough Love: crits.
  • <3, Lunch and Magic Mushroom: heart containers.
  • Mom's Knife: melee.
• You shoot Isaac's tears. There's no hand or gun on screen. Your shots are 3D tears that float, splash and play Isaac's crying sound.
  • The Inner Eye fires 3 side-by-side tears, 20/20 fires 2 and Mutant Spider fires 4.
  • Spoon Bender makes them purple and homing. Number One turns them yellow.
• An Isaac-style HUD. Your stats run down the left edge and your items down the right edge, with Isaac's pickup banner in Isaac's own font. The game's upgrade menu is on U.
• Co-op. Aliens vs. Ghosts' own online co-op (Steam party lobby and invites, up to 4 players) works as usual. Each player with the mod gets their own items and tear effects. Solo play is fully tested. Co-op with the mod hasn't been tested between two PCs yet.

Requirements

• Aliens vs. Ghosts (Steam): the game you play.
• The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Steam): all the Isaac content is read from your copy. Nothing from either game is in the download.
• The first start takes a minute or two while the bundled BepInEx loader prepares itself.
