Minecraft x How to Fish. Reel in a bite and one of How to Fish's real fish flies out of the water, lands next to you, and fights back.
Everything from How to Fish is read from your own installed copy while you play: 24 fish and their Drip variants, the Giant Piranha, the Shopkeeper, its knife, pistol, SMG, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper, bow and dynamite, its money icon, gunshots, bites and boss music.
How it plays
- First minute: a new world gives you a fishing rod, How to Fish's knife and $0, and the Shopkeeper stands right in front of you.
- Fish fight back: How to Fish's attacking fish (Piranha, Gar, Tigerfish, Eel, Red Snapper, Parrotfish, Blobfish, Anglerfish, Stonefish) flop after you and bite with How to Fish's own damage. The others flop back toward the water.
- Where you fish matters: rivers and lakes hook freshwater species, oceans saltwater ones, deep oceans the deep-sea ones.
- Drip: 10% of catches are the rare Drip variant, worth 5x.
- Sell and buy: the Shopkeeper pays How to Fish's price for every dead fish (worth x weight x kill score) and sells its weapons at its own prices, from the $50 Pistol to the $20,000 Assault Rifle.
- Kill score: How to Fish's trick-shot bonuses (Longshot, Aerial, Fly Fishing, Dogfight, Overkill, Last Bullet, Archery and more) multiply what a kill is worth.
- Guns: right click fires (hold for full-auto), R reloads. Dynamite thrown into water blasts dead fish out.
- Boss: a rare catch, or Giant Piranha Bait from the Shopkeeper, pulls up the Giant Piranha. It has 2,500 HP, summons waves of Piranhas and plays How to Fish's boss music.
Single player.
You need
- Minecraft: Java Edition (a Microsoft account that owns it). The first Play opens Prism Launcher once to sign in; it then downloads Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric and Java by itself.
- How to Fish installed on Steam. If it isn't, the game tells you and fishing stays vanilla.
