Play Minecraft as the Master Chief, with the real Halo in it
You need Minecraft and your own copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved (Xbox app / Game Pass or Steam). The first time you start, the mod reads Halo's models, textures, animations, sounds, voices and gameplay numbers from your install and keeps them in a private pack on your PC. That takes about 10 minutes the first time (more on a slow PC), with a progress bar on the title screen; you can already play meanwhile with placeholder looks, and the real ones appear by themselves when it finishes. Nothing of Halo is shipped or uploaded.
Survival
A crashed UNSC escape pod and a Warthog near spawn, with the Magnum and the Assault Rifle in its locker.
Seven Halo weapons with Halo's own numbers (damage, rate of fire, magazine, accuracy, headshots, reload) and Halo's own first-person animations: M6D Magnum, MA5B Assault Rifle, M90 Shotgun, S2 Sniper Rifle, M41 Rocket Launcher, Type-33 Needler and the Energy Sword, plus frag and plasma grenades and melee. Ammunition is craftable.
You are the Chief: Halo's body and first-person arms posed joint by joint from the original animation graphs, five armours (B), Halo's own movement and camera shake.
A recharging energy shield and a helmet HUD built from Halo's own pieces: visor wires, reticles, weapon icons, motion tracker.
Covenant Grunts and Elites (some with the Energy Sword) and the Flood, with original models, animations and voices; a drivable Warthog (three seats) and Ghost; checkpoints and Halo's four difficulties.
Multiplayer
Press M to choose Survival (your world) or Multiplayer: an arena built from blocks in a dimension of its own, with free for all, team slayer and capture the flag, power weapons on timers, respawns with a kill-cam, and AI players if you play alone (you choose how many and how good).
Play together with Melty:Open the world to friends on the same screen, and a friend joins with Melty's Join button. The host starts the matches.
Good to know
If Halo is not installed you still get the weapons and enemies with placeholder looks and a message; if your Halo is in an unusual folder, set haloPath in config/halospartan.json.
Optional shaders (Sodium + Iris, labPBR) give the models Halo's own metal and gloss. Lithium and FerriteCore come in the instance. English and Spanish.
Built with an AI coding assistant (Claude). Halo and Minecraft belong to their owners; this is an unofficial fan mod.
