Fox Illusion, fiery recoveries and a stronger Shine in Noita.
Play solo through Noita’s Mines as Fox, using his model and animations from your own Super Smash Bros. Melee NTSC 1.02 disc image. Noita is the game you play in; both games are required.
Dash dance, short-hop, double-jump, fast-fall and use directional air dodges for wavedash landing slides. Fight with jab, tilts and five directional aerials, each with its own enemy launch direction. Time a guard press before landing an aerial to L-cancel.
Neutral B fires the blaster. Side+B uses Fox Illusion: a short windup, a forward teleport with blue sparks and Fox afterimages, then recovery. It damages enemies along the travelled path and stops before solid terrain. Up+B charges and launches an aimed Fire Fox recovery with a flame trail, launch damage and upward knockback. Each enemy takes one hit per Illusion or Fire Fox use. Down+B creates a flashing blue Shine that damages nearby enemies and reflects projectiles; its damage is doubled in version 0.1.11. These effects use Noita’s own materials.
Standard gamepad controls: left stick moves and aims; A attacks; B uses directional specials; X/Y jumps; left trigger handles both air dodge and L-cancel. LB/RB also L-cancel. Keyboard and mouse use Noita’s configured actions: Fire attacks, directional Kick uses specials, and Throw dodges or L-cancels. Fox clears carried items; gold, health and immediate pickups remain. Landing after airborne Illusion restores the next double jump and air dodge. Terrain movement includes the wall-contact and landing-lag corrections from version 0.1.8.
This is a focused Melee-inspired moveset adapted to Noita, with scaled damage and reach. It does not include multiplayer, grabs, throws, ledge mechanics, shields, rolls, smash attacks, Melee stages or Melee audio. It does not reproduce Melee’s complete physics or accumulated-percent knockback.
Melty prepares Fox locally from your own Melee NTSC 1.02 copy and launches the mod in an isolated Noita profile using your existing window and input preferences. Game assets are never included in the download.
