Jack of Blades has escaped Albion and hides in the Lands Between. Your hero follows.
Fabled Ring runs your own copy of Fable: The Lost Chapters next to Elden Ring and puts its hero into Elden Ring's world, live. Elden Ring keeps the world: movement, collision, enemies, bosses, graces. Fable plays the hero: your save, your armour and weapons, your Will spells, Fable's own combos, flourishes, blocks and rolls, Fable's health bar, Will bar and combat multiplier. Every frame of the hero is drawn into Elden Ring's picture, lit by Elden Ring's sun and hidden behind its walls. Fable's blows and spells hit Elden Ring's enemies; their blows hit your Fable health, and Fable's Resurrection Phials save you from dying.
What you get
- Your Fable hero, from your own save, in the Lands Between: his model, armour, weapons, hair, halo or horns, lit and colour-graded like the world around him.
- Fable's combat against Elden Ring's own stance meter: combo chain, flourishes, blocking, rolling, target lock and the combat multiplier. Enemies stagger and stance-break; shields guard and break. Attack presses are never lost: a press made during a swing or a roll strikes the moment Fable allows it.
- Perfect blocks and ripostes: block just before a hit lands to wear the attacker down; stand close in front of or behind a stance-broken enemy and attack for Elden Ring's critical hit, with your Fable hero doing the finisher. Shift + attack is Fable's own attack instead.
- Fable's Will: Force Push, Enflame, Slow Time, Drain Life, Summon, Berserk, Physical Shield, Heal Life, Fireball, Lightning, Divine Wrath, Ghost Sword, Turncoat and more, cast against Elden Ring's enemies. Berserk has a look made for Elden Ring. Assassin Rush costs no Will and has no cooldown.
- Fable's health decides: Resurrection Phials revive you; Elden Ring's flasks heal your hero and refill his Will.
- Graces are the Heroes' Guild: sit down and spend Fable experience; every kill drops experience orbs that fly to you.
- Jack of Blades possesses the demigods: his voice before every boss, his power around them, his Mask at the end.
- Fable loot from Elden Ring pickups, kills and bosses (legendaries, trophies, renown), and Fable traders in Roundtable Hold and wandering the open world, with runes as their gold.
- Fable's soundtrack follows the region and the fight; Elden Ring's map sits in Fable's minimap; gestures play Fable expressions; the Guild Seal opens the map.
- Fable's HUD and menus (Tab): inventory, abilities, quests, experience.
- Keyboard and mouse, or a pad (Xbox, or DualSense / DualShock through Steam Input).
- Offline and save-safe: Elden Ring runs through ModEngine2 without Easy Anti-Cheat. The mod uses its own Elden Ring save file and a private copy of your Fable saves, with backups. Your normal saves are never touched.
No file from either game is included: the mod runs the copies installed on your PC.

Notes for players
- First start: Elden Ring opens with the mod's own, empty save slot. Create a character.
- If something is missing (Fable not found, unsupported Fable version, no Fable save), a message at the top of the screen says what to do. Logs are in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FableRing\.
- Settings are plain .ini files in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FableRing\; all are optional. The README in the package lists them.
- Turn Elden Ring's HDR off for correct Fable colours. Ultrawide screens are untested.
