Content Warning's camera, in Elden Ring. Film the Lands Between, upload to TarnishedTube, and go viral, or get a boss sent after you.
How it plays
- Press V to raise the camera. While it's up it records, with 90 seconds of film a day. Anything in frame earns views: more for big creatures and bosses, more the closer and more hurt you are, and a lot for kills, falls and dying on camera.
- Rest at a Site of Grace to upload. TarnishedTube counts up your views and viewers pile into the comments, with Content Warning's own comments plus lines written for each kind of Elden Ring enemy. The commenters are Elden Ring characters: @Patches, @Blaidd, @Ranni, @Millicent, @GideonOfnir and more.
- Hold B for Content Warning's mic and interview the enemy you're filming. Get close, hold for two seconds, and it answers in a Content Warning monster voice, for a big views bonus.
- Meet the quota. Each quota lasts 3 uploads (days). Hit it and the sponsors pay you runes. Miss it and they send a random Elden Ring boss after you: a Troll, a Crucible Knight, a Runebear, a Grafted Scion... Film it for a comeback. Your runes are never taken.
Your camera operator
An Albinauric is filming you. While the camera is down, the top of its head pokes into the bottom of the shot. Raise the camera and it's gone, so the footage is its point of view.
Keep your clips
Every time you raise the camera, what you film is saved as an MP4 with sound in %LOCALAPPDATA%\EldenWarning\clips (30 fps, up to 1280 wide), with the viewfinder in the shot. Only the game's own sound is recorded, Content Warning camera sounds included. Voice chat, music and other apps stay out.
Looks and sounds like Content Warning
The viewfinder, REC light, battery, camera and TarnishedTube sounds, fonts and comments are read live from your own copy of Content Warning. The TarnishedTube name and view counts use an Elden Ring-style serif.
Good to know
- Keys: V camera, B mic (hold), F8 hide/show the TarnishedTube panel. You can change them in
elden_warning.ini.
- Offline single-player only. Melty starts Elden Ring through ModEngine2 with Easy Anti-Cheat off, and nothing is written into Elden Ring's or Content Warning's folders. Starting Elden Ring from Steam gives you the normal online game.
- Needs Elden Ring 1.17.1 (exe 2.7.1.0) and Content Warning. Clip sound needs Windows 10 version 2004 or newer.
