Shadow Fiend in Isaac: souls, spells, and mouse controls.
A single-player Isaac with Dota heroes, mouse controls, XP for kills, and skill upgrades. Version 0.3.2 is all about Shadow Fiend. Abilities work on top of the Isaac character; a unique SF appearance and a replacement for the standard character select menu aren’t available yet.
Controls and doors. Move using only RMB: click to set a destination, or hold to follow the cursor; green arrows show your command. LMB fires bright red projectiles at one-third the speed of the original version. WASD and standard keyboard shooting are disabled during a run. Bomb — B, active item — Space, pill/card — T. Approach an open door and hold RMB on it for 4 seconds while the green outline fills. Releasing the button or moving the cursor away cancels the transition. Locked doors keep their usual Isaac requirements.
HUD and levels. The compact HUD follows your hero and stays within the screen: portrait, six icons, health, mana, XP, ranks, and cooldowns. Leveling up triggers a harmless Crack the Sky beam and grants a skill point. Click the gold “+” or press Ctrl with a skill key. Hovering shows green range circles; blue numbers on the icons show the current mana cost. Progress is saved when you quit and continue your run.
Shadowraze — Z/X/C. Three distances, a shared rank, and separate cooldowns of 6/5/4/3 seconds. Ranks unlock at levels 1/3/5/7. Base damage is reduced. The red mark lasts 8 seconds; repeated hits stack slow up to 75%. Mana cost by rank: 30/35/40/45.
Passives and souls. Necromastery and Presence are passive and don’t cost mana. Soul limit: 10/15/20/25; each soul adds +1 damage to regular attacks. A round counter appears above the HUD. After learning Necromastery, a harmless black-and-red fiery soul in the style of Fire Mind flies from killed enemies to the hero. Presence affects nearby enemies.
Requiem — R. The ultimate unlocks at level 6, with the next ranks at levels 12 and 18. After a roughly 1.67-second channel, SF cries out and dark waves spread out: the more souls you have, the more waves you unleash and the longer the fear lasts, up to 4 seconds with 25 souls. Damage is higher near the hero. With Requiem 3 + Necromastery 4, souls return and can hit again for half damage. Cost: 100/110/120 mana. Moving or attacking cancels the channel without spending mana; souls are retained when you cast.
Mana. Base regeneration is exactly 1 per second. A full or half blue heart adds +10 for 5 seconds; picking up another refreshes the duration, while black hearts don’t grant a bonus. The remaining duration is shown next to the mana bar.
Start a regular run: 1 selects Shadow Fiend, 2 selects Invoker, and 3 selects Wraith King. The other two heroes are still prototypes with Q/W/E/R. Rooms, enemies, and items are from Isaac. Single-player only.
Requires Windows, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with Repentance or Repentance+, and Dota 2 installed. Melty installs the mod and automatically accesses both game folders. The portrait, icons, and three sounds are sourced from your Dota installation at launch; Dota doesn’t launch or get modified. Game files aren’t included in the download.
