Your dwarf drops into Hoxxes, but the caves belong to Aliens vs. Predator now. XenoHunt joins Deep Rock Galactic with your own copy of Aliens vs. Predator (2010): AvP's sounds, music, HUD and rules come into the caves while you mine.
What happens in the caves
Xeno-Glyphids. Glyphids turn into Xenomorphs. They're faster, hiss and scream with AvP's alien voices when they spot you, and die with AvP's death cries. Praetorians roar like AvP's Praetorian.
Acid blood. Kill a xeno up close and its blood splashes you with acid.
A cloaked Predator stalks you. You hear its clicks circling behind you, and sometimes it plasma-blasts a xeno right in front of you. Stray from Bosco and its three-dot laser locks onto you. Turn and shoot where it is to make it uncloak, scream and fall back. Ignore the lock and the plasma bolt hits you. Three hits and you take its trophy.
AvP motion tracker. AvP's marine tracker sits on your HUD, with its pulse and contact bleeps. Like in AvP, it only sees things that move, out to 30 m.
AvP soundtrack. "The Darkest Fear" plays as the drop pod lands, "Aliens Rhythm" when a swarm closes in, and "Predators Rhythm" when you're being hunted, all over AvP's hive ambience.
Good to know
Single player, built for solo runs with Bosco.
You need both games installed. XenoHunt reads AvP's sounds, music and HUD art from your own copy and ships none of either game.
Deep Rock Galactic needs to run in borderless or windowed mode so the AvP HUD can draw over it. If you use exclusive fullscreen, the mod switches it to borderless.
The AvP side runs as a small companion that the mod starts with Windows PowerShell. It is shipped as readable C# source and closes when the game does.
