Terraria in Minecraft: random endless worlds, 6000+ items with real weapons, 3D enemies and bosses, NPC towns and crafting stations.
Update Log: 0.1.4 → 0.2.5
World and start
The Create World screen is replaced by TerraMine options: difficulty (Classic, Expert, Master), seed and game mode. Worlds are random and infinite, with dungeons. Starting the game no longer needs a prebuilt test world.
Items, weapons and crafting
Over 6,000 items, read at runtime from your own Terraria install. Weapon abilities, damage classes and Terraria-style tooltips. Dedicated coin and ammo slots. Mana, mana stars, buff icons, coin purse and info panel. New crafting with a recipe book, real station blocks and ingredients taken from chests.
Enemies, NPCs and combat
3D enemies built from the Terraria sprites. Slimes are round and slightly translucent. King Slime has a small golden crown. Minions are small 3D pets. 375 more enemies, each with a spawn egg (all in the creative menu) and its own drops. NPCs use the player model, with generated skins and 3D hats and hair. NPC houses (at least 3x3x2, door, light, chair and table) and personal doors with a face. NPCs defend themselves, and the Guide uses a bow. Enemies attack the nearest player or NPC. The spawn rate is calmer.
Interface
Adventure-style look with the Pixelify Sans font. The layout stays as in vanilla. Translations, plus a toggle to show the original Terraria names.
Stability
Fixed the crash on the Create World screen. Added guards against broken displays. Several performance improvements. Without Terraria data, you now get placeholder icons instead of pink-black textures. New in 0.2.5: no XNA needed anymore, provided the agent finishes that work as planned.
Also: There is now a test map with a README.
Status: 0.1.4 is still live. 0.2.1 is stuck in Melty’s review. Everything from 0.2.2 on exists only locally so far and has not been uploaded.
