Stratagem Grand Prix

Every item box in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds now hands you a Helldivers 2 stratagem. Hold the item button, punch in its real HD2 code on the arrows or D-pad, and throw the red beacon onto the track ahead. The strike lands there and hits everyone inside its area — you included.

• Your item button never fires a Sonic item: everything you pick up is a stratagem. Racers further back draw the heavier ones.
• CPU racers call in stratagems too.
• Real HD2 models (Eagle, bombs, Hellbomb, Hellpod), HD2 icons in the game's item slot, and HD2 sounds — all read from your own Helldivers 2 install on first launch. Nothing from either game ships with the mod.
• Solo against the CPU and local split-screen.
